Second City II
A ONE-OFF SITE-SPECIFIC PROJECT ON THE STREET!
Second City uncovers the hidden face of Prague by night. On the edge of the fictional and the real world it struggles for control of Wenceslas Square. The u Stýblů passage becomes a space-time tunnel from the past to the future and back. Citizens become actors and actors citizens. Will a phone booth remain a phone booth? Will good overcome darkness? And what about that druid back there?
An unrepeatable site-specific street performance by the Vosto5 Theatre, VerTeDance and students of KALD DAMU, whose protagonists are the square, passers-by, flying birds and several staged characters experiencing their stories right here, right now. Each minute means a new constellation of relationships and situations.
Second City follows up on a series of productions by the Vosto5 Theatre that spill out into the outdoor space, attack reality in unexpected places, manipulate reality in unexpected contexts, and combine improvisation with staged sequences.

The project was created as a co-production with the 4+4 Days in Motion Festival with funding from the Capital City of Prague, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Czech State Fund for Culture and the Život umělce Foundation.
